Digital Wellbeing is Android’s own set of tools for seeing and capping the time you spend on your phone, and it is the quickest way to put a hard limit on a session in the JILI365 lobby. You reach the lobby by typing jili365.com into your browser, so the control you want is a timer on that website. This page shows you how to set it, lock it and back it up, and it fits with the reality check routine it supports, where time limits are the first habit.
Set your Digital Wellbeing timer in six steps
Google’s help page for Digital Wellbeing gives the menu paths, and some of them vary by device.
- Open Settings and tap Digital Wellbeing.
- Tap the chart, then Chrome, then Show sites and Show.
- Next to the lobby’s site, tap Set site timer and choose a daily limit.
- Tap App limits, then App limits PIN, and set a four-digit PIN.
- Tap Focus mode and choose which apps to pause, with a schedule.
- Tap Bedtime mode, then Bedtime routine, and pick a schedule.
Digital Wellbeing site timer: what it does
A site timer limits how long you can use one website in Chrome each day. For app timers, Google says the app closes and its icon dims when time runs out, and that timers reset at midnight.
| Setting | Where | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Site timer | Digital Wellbeing, Chrome, Set site timer | Caps daily minutes on one site |
| App timer | Digital Wellbeing, App timers | Caps daily minutes in one app |
| App limits PIN | Digital Wellbeing, App limits | Stops you deleting the timer yourself |
| Timer at zero | Same screen, with a PIN | Blocks the app entirely, per Google |
Pick a number that matches your session budget. For example, if a session is meant to last 30 minutes, set 30 and leave the stop-loss amount from the stop loss routine as your money limit.
Lock the timer with an App limits PIN
A timer you can lift in two taps is a timer you will lift at 2 a.m. Google’s help page explains that an App limits PIN makes the limits changeable only with the PIN and tells you not to share it. Set a unique four-digit PIN, then hand it to a person you trust.
You set the timer yourself and deleted it after a loss.
Ask someone you trust to type the App limits PIN on your phone and keep it, so deleting the timer is no longer in your hands.
You use a browser other than Chrome for the lobby.
Google describes site timers for Chrome. In your other browser, use Focus mode, which pauses the apps you choose and stops their notifications.
Focus mode: pause the browser at the hardest hours
Focus mode pauses the apps you choose, so you cannot use them and get no notifications from them. You can turn it on now, set a schedule, or use Take a break to unpause for a limited time. Schedule it for the hours your sessions usually go wrong, such as after payday or after work.
| Focus mode setting | What you pick |
|---|---|
| Apps to pause | Your browser and any messaging link to the lobby |
| Schedule | Days and hours of your weakest time |
| Take a break | A short limit, so one break does not become the evening |
Bedtime mode: stop the late-night session
Bedtime mode turns on at the times you set, either on a schedule or while your phone charges. Google lists screen options for it: grayscale, a dark always-on display, a dimmed wallpaper and a dark theme. A grey screen takes the colour out of a slot lobby, and the charging option puts the phone down by the bed rather than in your hand.
| Bedtime mode option | Effect |
|---|---|
| Use a schedule | Start and end times and days of the week |
| Turn on while charging | Runs between an After and a Before time while plugged in |
| Turn off at next alarm | Ends the mode when your alarm rings |
| Grayscale | Changes the screen to black and white |
When the timer is not enough
A timer ends a session; it does not end the habit. Work through this short ladder:
- Timer plus PIN held by someone else.
- Focus mode scheduled for your weakest hours.
- Bedtime mode on while charging.
- A longer break. If you keep lifting limits, or you reach for another browser, move to a longer break through cooling-off tools. The age rule and limit tools are in the responsible gaming rules of this site, and play is for 21+ only.
FAQ
Does Digital Wellbeing work on iPhone?
The steps on this page are Google's for Android phones, and Google says some steps vary by device. On an iPhone, look for your phone's own screen time settings.
What happens when the site timer runs out?
For app timers, Google's help page says the app closes and its icon dims when time runs out, that timers reset at midnight and that you must delete the timer to use the app again before then. That is why a PIN held by someone else matters.
Does the site timer work in browsers other than Chrome?
Google's page describes site timers for Chrome only. If you use another browser, use Focus mode to pause that browser during the hours you choose.
