JILI365 Text Scam
A casino text scam pushes you to act at once: open a link, share a code, pay a fee to release a prize.

Age verification is the step where a casino matches your name and birth date to a document, because the rule it enforces is fixed by the regulator: persons younger than 21 years old are not allowed to play. This rule sits in PAGCOR’s Responsible Gaming Code of Practice, part of the wider set of PAGCOR regulations covering licensed play. This page shows what the Code says, what a check can reasonably ask for and how to protect the documents you hand over.

The age to play and who else is barred

The Code’s Part III, Limited Access, names who may not enter, stay or play. PAGCOR’s responsible gaming page repeats the list and extends it to playing on any online gaming platform.

The Code also fixes the standard line a brand must show: persons younger than 21 years old are not allowed to play.

What an age verification check asks for

Each brand writes its own registration screen, so open it and read the field list before you type anything. PAGCOR’s own programs show what a regulator-grade identity check collects, and a brand’s check tends to be a subset of the same items:

  1. Your complete name.
  2. Your date of birth.
  3. The government-issued photo ID you present, and its number.
  4. For PAGCOR’s exclusion applications, a recent 2x2 photo, and a selfie or video call when someone else submits for you.

The JILI365 register flow explained covers the sign-up screens themselves, and the check is part of that flow.

Keep your documents safe

An ID photo is among the most useful things a fraudster can obtain. Under RA 10173, age is listed among sensitive personal information, so treat any request for it with care, and read your Data Privacy Act rights over ID photos before you upload.

Problem

A message asks you to send your ID photo to open or confirm a casino account.

Fix

Do not send it. A real check happens inside the account screen you opened yourself, never through a link in a text or chat. Report the message, and read how RA 10175 fraud reporting works for the agencies that take these reports.

Under 21? Stop and use the tools you have

If you are under 21, the answer is fixed: do not register, and do not borrow an adult’s details. RA 10175 defines computer-related identity theft as using identifying information belonging to another without right.

If you are an adult worried about someone else’s play, PAGCOR runs family exclusion for a spouse, child or parent, with periods of 6 months, 1 year or 3 years. Self exclusion runs 6 months, 1 year or 5 years, and the first six months are irrevocable. The responsible gaming limits and exclusion page lists the limits a lobby may offer on top.

FAQ

What is the legal age to play online casino games in the Philippines?

PAGCOR's Responsible Gaming Code of Practice says persons younger than 21 years old are not allowed to play, and its own responsible gaming page lists persons under 21 as prohibited from any gaming establishment and any online gaming platform. This site says 21+ everywhere.

Why does a casino ask for my ID?

The age floor has to be enforced somewhere, and the Code's stated aims include preventing underage gambling. A name, a birth date and a photo ID are how a brand matches you to the rule.

Can I use a parent's or friend's ID?

No. RA 10175 defines computer-related identity theft as using identifying information belonging to another without right, and using someone else's ID also defeats the age rule the check exists for.

May I ask what the casino does with my ID photo?

Yes. The Data Privacy Act gives you rights over personal data held about you, and the Data Privacy Act page here explains how to use them. Ask the brand's customer service in writing.
